Description of Unbonded PC Strand
Unbonded means that after the prestressed steel strand is prestressed, there is no adhesion between the prestressed steel strand and its reserved tunnel in the concrete member, and it can slide, and the prestress is transmitted by the anchors at both ends. The most commonly used steel strands are galvanized steel strands and prestressed steel strands. Commonly used prestressed steel strands are in the range of 9.53mm-17.8mm with a small number of thicker diameter strands. The steel wire in each prestressed steel strand is generally 7 pieces, and there are also 2, 3 and 19 steel wires. The steel wire can have a metal or non-metal anti-corrosion layer. Applying anti-corrosive grease or paraffin to HDPE is called unbonded steel strand.

Application of the High Rise Building 1x7 15.2mm PE Coated Steel Strand with Grease Unbonded PC Strand
1. PC strand is used as cable for special bridges and maintenance of bridges.
2. PC strand is used in concrete pillars and supports for the construction of buildings, domes for nuclear power plants and reinforcement of LNG concrete tanks.
3. PC strand is used as floor and roof reinforcement for sports stadiums.
4. PC strand can be extensively used in construction materials for PC panels, high-pressure concrete water pipes, marine structures, towers and runways.
PC steel strand is the simplified term describing Prestressed Concrete Steel Strand Wire. With the advantages of high tensile strength and good corrosion resistance at elevated temperature, PC strand wire is used in heavy loading concrete constructions.
It is made with galvanized steel wire or carbon steel wire through drawing, twisting or stranding and stabilizing. The stranded wire structures allow high tension and less distortion in uses.
